Laurie began her career in Chicago, acting in theatre, television and commercials. In Chi, she appeared in the critically-acclaimed CONVERSATIONS OF MY MOTHERS and played Marilyn Monroe in RED-BAITING, BLACKLISTING AND THE AMERICAN BLONDE.   A New Yorker since the early 1990s, she starred in the long running Off-Broadway comedy STRICTLY PERSONAL; toured Europe with A CHRISTMAS CAROL and A CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, (playing Maggie, the Cat).  Laurie is a familiar face at theatres all around the US.  A sampling:  FAITH HEALER (Riverside Theatre)  THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE (Nevada Conservatory Theatre), HOW I LEARNED TO DRIVE (Hangar Theatre), JERUSALEM (New Repertory Theatre), LITTLE WOMEN & DIARY OF A SCOUNDREL (Northern Stage) ALWAYS...
